Pastor Jack Hibbs: Real Life Under Attack
Due to time constraints throughout the week and this weekend, with having to go out of town for a Christian men’s conference, I will be unable to bring you the usual weekly review. I also, instead, have chosen to bring you one or two feature article pieces that I felt needed to be written and shared. For updates throughout the week, make sure to follow Christian Infidel on Facebook, Twitter, Gettr, and Telegram.
The first story I will bring you is not only one of utmost importance, as it is yet another example of how our first amendment is under attack; it shows us that our faith is also under attack. Now, this isn’t new, as these attacks have been happening for awhile, but, indeed, these attack have been and will be ramping up more and more. This first story is also personal to me, as it centers around one of my own pastors. I say one of because I do have a pastor at the church that I psycially attend and one who I watch every Wenesday and Sunday online, Pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chino Hills, California.
The first time I truly heard the Gospel preached and preached properly was while watching one of Jack Hibb’s sermons. The Lord used Jack’s sermon, along with videos of Ray Comfort giving the gospel and putting people to the test of God’s moral law, to convict me of my sins. Since then, I have thirsted for the word of God, for sermons that stayed true to God’s word, that avoid the doctrine of man. I find this same love of God’s word in my Pastor here at home, who also teaches verse by verse.
Pastor Jack Hibbs is one of the few pastors out there unafraid to teach the entire Bible, to teach verse by verse, to take his congregation into prophecy, to take on the demonic perverting of our society, governmental overreach, and to stand against the satanic evils that look to consume our children. In every sense of the word, Pastor Jack Hibbs is indwelled with the Holy Spirit, and is a faithful servant of the Lord. This may be Jack’s story, but it is most certainly God’s glory.

Too many pastors have fallen away from biblical teaching such as this; they, instead, have chosen to embrace theatrics, prosperity or have become consumed by putting butts in the seats or protecting their 501c3. Many have shunned discussing creation, abortion (or the modern version of child sacrifice) and have labelled many topics that work to corrupt the minds of believers or deconstruct God’s design for marriage, family, and gender as political, when in fact, they are moral issues.
So, the few pastors that have fully submitted themselves to the will of God and to the power of the Holy Spirit start to cause real change in individuals and the communities around them, those who lie in opposition to God will never hesitate to attack. These attacks can come direct or indirectly. They can come from prominent sources, false teachers, hypocrites or even others who are saved but have slipped into walking a road of their own creation instead of the one laid out by God.
The indirect attacks can also be attacks on members of the congregation, physically or virtually, in attendance. I can personally attest to this, as it was just this past summer that my ex-girlfriend, Anni Cyrus, who goes on air proclaiming Christ as her Savior, attempted to get me to stop listening to Pastor Hibbs. She even went out of her way to tell me there was no reason I should be diving deep into God’s word and that I should drop the “middle man,” aka my pastor. She couldn’t understand why others and myself got so excited to watch sermons, oblivious to the fact that we were excited to hear God’s word properly preached and refusing to even watch one sermon the entire time we were together. These were just a few red flags, especially when considering her extensive deep dives into the Qur’an and Reliance of the Traveler, yet diving into God’s Word was something she said I shouldn’t do.
Looking back, there were so many red flags that I failed to see and couldn’t see even after, until I had come back to God in repentance for the decisions I had made, including putting another before Him. I will refrain from going into detail on these red flags, as this isn’t the article for that, but I will be sure to do one in the future that exposes these tactics, the false teachings, and the hypocrisy of a few that have managed to ride the ‘Christ Train’ in order to garner a new audience.
Then there are direct attacks, ones that either attack the pastor, himself, or the church and ministry as a whole. The personal attacks against Pastor Jack are just that, personal and on a need to know basis, in which we do not need to know. Personal attacks on the congregation or ministry can happen on a small scale, or they can happen on a national or world stage. This past week, the attack of Pastor Jack Hibbs was on that very large stage. It was an attack that also aimed to mame not only Jack but also Calvary Chapel Chino Hills and any one able to use YouTube. In fact, the attack came from YouTube itself. This past week, YouTube pulled Pastor Jack’s channel and seized all of his content. The crime? Simply preaching the word of God.

YouTube claimed there were too many accusations against the channel, yet they refused to investigate any of them. One such accusation came from the A&E network, stating that one of the pastor’s sermons violated their copyright, even boldly stating they owned the sermon, claiming to own the words of another person. These claims are not just baseless; they are flat out lies, as Pastor Jack contacted the network, which claimed they had absolutely no issues with him or the sermon. YouTube then insisted that the claim came from Telemundo, who also stated they had never had any issues as well. This was nothing more than Big Tech’s attack on the biblical messages being preached.
Pastor Jack and Calvary Chapel in Chino Hills have been outspoken in their opposition to abortion, governmental overreach and have been active in their participation in local affairs and politics. Their hard work, dedication and acting out of their faith has been sparking change in California, and that is something the media refuses to cover and will work with the current regime to stop it.
Unbenownst to the rest of the country, due to a mainstream media blackout, this past 2022 election was not a total loss for Conservatives and Christians. Believe it or not, California is no longer blue. Due to churches like Calvary and Christians willing to get back into politics, California is now turning Purple, and if the trend persists, it could someday turn red. Christians in California are not only jumping back into politics, but they are voting for those who retain Christian morals and values at the ballot box.
These attacks, specifically the one from YouTube, come as no real surprise; Christian messages and movements like this pose a real threat to those looking to erase God from American life, and are working to strip away God-given freedoms in the process. It’s a threat to their attempt for total control over the American people.
Going forward, we can expect these attacks to ramp up. We can expect them to broaden their reach and intensity among the Christian population. It goes with the job of following Jesus, and its an honor and a privilege. I can’t speak for Pastor Jack Hibbs (although I would love to be able to personally get his take on this), but in our lives, there is no higher honor than to be persecuted in the name of our king, our Lord, and our Savior Jesus Christ. Many of us have lost friends and family over our proclaiming of Christ as Lord and Savior. Many of us have delt with being treated differently in public places, school, and work. Many of us have been kicked off from social media platforms, much like what is happening to Pastor Jack.
YouTube is obviously bored with us little fish and have decided they needed to go after much bigger fish that had the ability to minister God’s word to a more vast majority. They know that as soon as they can comfortably silence the sheppards, the flock will be much easier to control. This would normally be true, as we have sadly seen with conservative patriots since J6. The difference is; our true sheppard is Jesus, and He sits on His throne in Heaven. No mere mortal has the power to dethrone Him, nor has the power to remove those that are His from His hand.
Then their are the few that have faced imprisonment, torture, and death. With the exception of a few imprisonments, America isn’t quite there yet. We have the Constitution to thank for that, for the time being. We must all work harder to be more proactive in the changing of our country, more proactive in creating awareness among the bodily church of Christ. We are always told that what happens in California will eventually move throughout the rest of the country, and this is true. It can also be true that this Christian movement and proactiveness that is starting to take hold in California can also make its way throughout the rest of America, if we allow it to. If we put in the work and put our faith into action, otherwise, the only change we have a chance of seeing will be one that seeks our annihilation. We will also see the withering of our faith during a time that needs our faith to be flourishing.
Now, all of this being said, none of this change will happen without God’s approval. It will not happen without the power of the Holy Spirit, but it also wont happen if we remain nothing but bumps on the log, unwilling to do research, to share, educate, and make others aware. It wont happen if we remain too afraid of the backlash that comes from standing up or speaking out. It definitely won’t happen if we refuse to give our lives over to Christ, to allow the Holy Spirit to use us for the will of God, no matter what that may be.
Pastor Jack said it best when he said that each and everyone of us are able to have a personal revival daily. I believe that if we were to do so, even greater change could happen. Just because no other nation in history has come back from the moral depravity that our society finds itself in right now doesn’t mean America cannot be the first. Just because we know that the victory goes to Jesus and that the battle has already been won doesn’t mean we warm the bench with our butts.
We are created to do good works, and we are created to worship our Lord, our Savior, and our Creator. We have been given free will, as were the angels, because out of free will comes true love. We are free to choose to allow the Lord to use us just as we are free to refuse, in which we will also be judged for the works that we either chose or refused to do. The problem is, if we wait too long to act, we will lose the freedom that allows us to choose at all.
I believe that out of many situations that Satan wishes to use for bad, God will always find ways to bring about good from it. We have seen this in the rise of alternative Conservative and Christian media outlets, the change in leadership at Twitter and the Twitter file drops, and we have just seen it happen in California as the “powers that be” became complicent in their control over California. While they worked to defraud the rest of the country, God’s people were quietly moving into place. We will see God take this attack and also use it for good.
Some of that good may come as soon as next month has Pastor Jack Hibbs launches the Real Life Network. The Real Life Network will be a new digital platform that will feature programming with a biblical worldview and live events, including sermons. This new network will be completely free to viewers, programming partners and on servers out of the reach of big tech and media, ensuring that God’s word will never be silenced, an assurance not only made by man but by God himself.
UPDATE: YouTube has released an apology for the removal and reinstated Jack’s channel, but it comes a little too late. The punch has already been thrown, and legal punches to the platform will be delivered, and a new biblical network will emerge.
I am willing to allow the Holy Spirit to use me in any way that the Lord wills; I also want to do my part in educating others and creating awareness. While I may be angry at YouTube for this blatant attack, I am also oddly happy about it because it means that the Lord has bestowed a special honor upon Jack Hibbs and Calvary Chapel. I only hope and pray that the Lord grows my faith strong and with deep roots and that I am able to lean on Him for the strength that I do not possess myself for if and when it is my time to suffer for His name.
Thank you Pastor Jack Hibbs and all of those who serve and attend Calvary Chapel Chino Hills. Thank you for your willingness and sacrifice to get the word of God out to as many eyes and ears as possible. Thank you for staying true to God’s word and not corrupting it like so many other churches are doing. Thank you for the massive work and funding that will be going into the new Real Life Network in order to secure an outlet of programs that carry a biblical worldview that has been missing from media. I will be doing all I can to let others know and lead them to a network that is doing the work that we are commissioned to do: To preach the Gospel and make disciples. (Thank you, Skip McCabe at Calvary, for always responding when I was in need of a little direction or clarity).
